Guilty Pleasure

You've heard me rail against stupid "reality" shows, but there are some great ones out there. Perhaps because I can't sew a stitch, one of my favorites is Project Runway

Yes, there's pathos, there's melodrama, but mostly there's talent. I marvel at how these designers can whip up an outfit in a couple of days with a couple hundred dollars. I love it.

The finale of season 2 is coming up tomorrow. Who is going to be in? Who is going to be out?

I think Daniel V. will take run the runway.

Auf Wiedersehen.

I'm notorious for not following up myself, luckily they rerun the episodes all the time.

BTW I don't remember an outfit with a tie...

My daughter really likes this show. I've watched a couple of episodes with her. It is fun.
I will watch the finale. She has it set to tape.
She thinks Santino will win.

I'm a frustrated non professional clothing designer and LOVE this show. I too HATE reality shows, but this one is great, I agree.

As I said, I think (hope) Daniel V. will win. I'm picking Chloe for 2nd place & Santino, who is just a great big ass who has had way too many lucky breaks, for dead last.

I'll definitely be there for the finale. I'll make the popcorn!

Just as a geeky side note: can anyone name the Star Trek connection to this season's Project Runway?

Love it...love it... love it!

The awkward moment of silence during the reunion special (Daniel's "I love you, Heidi.") was probably the best reality TV moment of all time. It has to be.

And I'm for Chloe.

cube- Is Zulema (the crazy walk-off girl) the link to Star Trek?

the only reality show I've ever seen is biggest loser. These model things scare me. I think star search, which leads to ed whatever his name was and it's just too scary.

tlm: yes, I caught that long pause. The reunion episodes always provide such high drama. Did you catch Guadalupe's drunken blather.
So funny.

BTW, no, it isn't Zulema. It's not any of the designers.

It's SO easy. Where are the crossover Trek/Runway fans?

Ah, well.. Zulema was a total guess. I remember her other nickname for herself (something like Ferengi?) sounded like a Trek term.

We give up, cube. Please.. Tell us!

Supermodel Iman played Martia, the chameloid inmate at the Klingon prison asteroid in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country.

BTW Zulema called her alter-ego Shitange.
