Aussie Tourism

No, not a plea from The BLOG for more comments,
but a new campaign to lure international tourists to Australia.

After reading about the 61-year-old Australian grandmother who was recently honoured with a bravery award for wrestling a giant saltwater crocodile as it dragged her friend from a tent here , I can see why they want more tourists...

The crocs are hungry.

Not that I wouldn't welcome extra comments. Toiling in obscurity can get a bit old.

Crocs & sharks aren't my cup of tea. I'll go to Sydney & stay in a nice hotel though.

eyesallaround: I would love to go to Australia. It's an exotic foreign country, but at the same time very close in spirit to America. Unfortunately, its so far away that I would lose my mind being in a plane for such a long time.

j.d.: I've been bitten by a shark & have eaten gator... OK, not exactly croc, but close enough. If I were to dare the long flight, no way would I sit in a hotel room. I'd love to trek about a bit in the Aussie countryside.

Cube - so? Where the bloody hell are you?! Sitting down here in Oz, just waiting. Welcome party is languishing at the airport.

caz: I'm one of those white knuckle flyers that requires copious amounts of alcohol just to get on a plane. I think I'd lose my mind on a plane from Florida to Australia. But I tell you what, if I ever do dare to go, you'll be the first Aussie I'll call.

And if I'm ever brave enough to be locked up in a tin can for a day I'll drop by to see you!
